To determine the size of glove you need, measure the distance between the ends of the fingertips and where the elbow pads end (coming down your forearm). The idea is to have minimal area exposed on the forearm for slashes. However, you don't want the glove and elbow pad to rub together and restrict movement. Here are the normal hockey glove sizes:

Intermediate: 13"
Junior: 11", 12"
Youth: 8", 9", 10"
