Hockey Goalie Gloves & Blockers

The ice hockey goalie glove (also called a goalie "catcher") and the blocker are of two-fold importance for the hockey goalie. First, they function defensively to keep the puck out of the net. Second, they function as protection for the hands, wrists, and forearms of the hockey goalie.

You will need a good chest and arm protector with good arm pads. The arm pads will tuck into the cuffs of the glove and blocker about 2" to 3" to offer seamless protection for the forearm. Make sure the chest protector isn't pulled too tightly at the arms or it will pop out of the gloves and blocker and expose the forearm to injury.
